Readingful
A reading practice platform for children with original illustrated and narrated stories, quizzes, leaderboards and a teacher dashboard.

01 · CONTEXT
Children's reading practice is a habit problem before it is a content problem. A child will not come back to a worksheet, and a teacher cannot manually track whether thirty of them did. Readingful attacks it from the content side, with original short stories written, illustrated and narrated for the platform rather than licensed excerpts, and quizzes and leaderboards built around them so that practice becomes something a child chooses rather than something assigned.
02 · THE PROBLEM
The platform has to satisfy three people at once who want different things. The child needs a reason to come back tomorrow. The teacher needs visibility across a whole class without administrative work. And whoever pays, a parent or a school, needs a purchase path that matches how they actually pay, which is not the same in both cases. A product that serves only one of the three either does not get used or does not get bought.
03 · WHAT WE BUILT

04 · WHAT HELD
It is live and selling, at readingful.com, which is more than a good share of what gets published as a case study can claim. The three sided structure held: the same content serves a child reading at home and a class working through it together, without two products being built. And the isolation between schools sits in the query layer rather than in a reviewer's discipline, so it does not degrade as the team grows.
