Starbook
The platform behind cruise entertainment booking: a public talent directory searchable by port, region and availability, and an admin side with a complete audit trail.

01 · CONTEXT
Scheduling entertainment on cruise ships means reconciling variables that do not reconcile themselves: which performer is free on which dates, on which ship, calling at which port, in which region, on which visa, and in which venue. An assignment error cannot be corrected after the fact, because the ship sails.
02 · THE PROBLEM
The platform has to serve two audiences from the same data, and they want opposite things. A cruise line looking for talent needs availability public, current and filterable before any conversation starts. The agency needs the reverse: private control over contracts, visas and assignments, with a record of who changed what. On top of that the constraints are hard rather than soft. A performer without the right visa does not board, and the ship does not wait for anyone to fix the paperwork.
03 · WHAT WE BUILT

04 · WHAT HELD
The audit trail is the piece that holds. Recording who changed something is easy; recording what it was before, what it is now, and which relationships moved is a different thing, and it is what lets someone answer six months later why a performer ended up on one ship rather than another. In an operation where a mistake leaves someone on the dock, that capability is not an admin feature, it is the product.
